Fresh from exhibiting at Australian Fashion Week,Cicada Symphony continues to produce exclusive, handcrafted jewellery featuring lampworked glass bead necklaces with semi precious gemstones and spectacularly colourful dichroic glass neckpieces. Designer, Leslie Hunter, is inspired by the drama of glass. Her work is influenced by extensive early travels through Asia and Europe and it is through glass that Leslie channels a natural eye for design and colour, capturing those influences in a luxurious and tactile form. Lampwork and kiln fire on numerous types of glass as well as Dichroic (a multi layer coating of metal oxides placed on glass by using a highly technical vacuum deposition process) creates a dramatic reaction to firing and produces wonderfully spectacular colours.
